emRG Core Team

We met in Berlin....in cold Berlin.  But it was a great couple of days.  Research that moves Church Planting ahead that is the goal.  emRG (European Missions Research Group) has been aggressively moving ahead to bring the best information to church planters in Europe.  Andreas Wolf has blogged about the meeting (here).  Scott Friderich's blog can be found here though he has not mentioned the Berlin meeting yet. 

Our time together was all about the kinds of information that church planters need, how to organize it and make it accessible to them.   It is information specific to their culture and the area where they live and minister.  There are three big categories of information that are broken down into a few more.  Here you

can see how they look.  The three categories are Harvest Field, Dynamic Interaction and Harvest Force.  The two 'harvests' have a dynamic interaction in Vision, Spiritual Condition and the Contextualization of the Gospel Message.  Move your mouse over the different icons and their extended arms and you will see what they are.

As it says above, this is just a prototype of an interface.  The end product of the research matrix we hope will be both user friendly and very helpful.

The formal presentation of this matrix of data will be this April in Barcelona Spain.  Watch the emRG web site for further details.

The purpose of research is clear: it equips the harvest force to be more effective, generates prayer and focuses vision.  The three categories of the matrix are:

Harvest Field subcategories: Demographics, Felt Needs and Religiosity

Dynamic Interaction subcategories: Vision, Spiritual Condition and Contextualization of the Gospel (see HF. these elements are described there.)

Harvest Force subcategories: Church Demographics and Resources.
