This gave me a huge laugh today and just had to share it with you. Apparently there is a Communist Museum in Prague. I have only been to Prague a couple of times and never really had the chance to go site seeing. But this looks like it might be fun.

Feudal Japan-historical fiction
I am really having a blast reading the “Tales of the Otori is a series of historical fantasy novels by Lian Hearn, set in a fictional world based on feudal Japan.” It is a trilogy of five books. I know, odd. But there is a prequel which I read first and a sequel. Great stuff. “The books follow a young warrior named Takeo in his struggles to avenge an adoptive father, escape the legacy of his biological father, and pursue the love of his life in the midst of an enormous power struggle involving dozens of clan lords and thousands of warriors.”
It is making me really want to investigate the era of feudal Japan. I picked up a couple of mystery novels set in the same time period. I’ll let you know what they are like when I get to them.
Excuses we make…lol
It is amazing the things we tell ourselves and other to excuse ourselves from hard work. The funniest of these come from kids. . . and their parents. Here is a list that my brother David made while teaching at a music school. He is a great teacher by the way and the school is really great.
Top bunch of reasons that people stop taking music lessons.
5. When I realized that I could still get chicks by just carrying the guitar case around it became clear that I didn’t need to take lessons.
4. The guitar has all of these strings and you have to strum it and play notes and stuff so I thought that I would just stick with the guitar hero game.
3. (after two months of lessons) I have just finished learning how to play, so I don’t need lessons anymore.
2. (told in the spring when going off of schedule). Oh, no, Johnny loves the lessons and the teacher, it’s just that music is a winter sport.
1. Since Billy played so poorly at the recital we are taking away the music lessons until he can play better.
Klingon Bible…oddest thing I’ve seen today
This is the oddest thing I’ve seen today. It is still early, about 8:30AM so things could change but wow, I had no idea that evangelists had traveled to the Klingon empire. When did Wycliffe Bible Translators make it there? My geeky friend Jeff Jansen who works with Wycliffe (hear a sermon from him here in Singapore) might know about this translation and who made it but…wow.
Here you can see it for yourself.
Me Monster Party
Have you ever been in the story competition at a party? Here is a great comic talking about the me monster.
